i really like the pharse you used "how to teach students to be successful learners and not just wish it upon them." not to wish upon them i really really like that. teachers try to teach use but we are in control of our own brains so in a way they wish that we would listen. but somtimes we dont. i also like your bullet points i should try to do some of them ....thanks for the ideas!!!!

I love the idea of putting together a dream team of thinkers and doers. As someone that is inspired by the success of others I can see how this can be effective for students.

Do you have other suggestions of learners to emulate?

Everyone knows Albert Einstein, but who are some other learners worth finding out about? I'd love to have a unit on "heroes" and have students choose a learning hero, but I'd want to read books about them.

I can think of Einstein, Michael Jordan, Barack Obama, maybe Madame Curie or Rosalind Franklin... but I guess I feel like there have to be lots more out there!
